The Holiday Rules!

The holidays are upon us again. I am starting to like them again, thanks to the internet. I do not need to spend as much time at the stores as I have in the past. Before I go on, I am proud to say that I have been shopping on the new since 1998. so I am not one of those Johnny- come - lately's that show up on the local new touting " how safe the internet is NOW!" ........

I wish I could give a gift to the world. If I could I think it would be " the gift of spacial relations".

Lets all refer back to that age old lesson we learned as kids playing a game, Follow some basic rules of the game and EVERYONE will have fun! Well the same should go for the holidays. Here are a few refreshers in some basic Rules so everyone can have fun.

Stay to the right. If it sounds familiar, It should we(U.S.A.) drive on the Right side of the road. Do the same on the sidewalk. I know the other side has more interesting things to look at, but please, stay to the right so traffic keeps moving. Parents! It will not stifel the creative growth of your childern if you teach them to walk on the right hand side.

Escalators are for moving....... faster. I know that stopping on an escalator is an option ( or a right) but some people like to flow a little bit faster. give them room on the left hand side. This leads right into my next point.

Keep the Runway clear. Remember the people on the escalator behind you? well we are STILL there. when you are on the escalator and the "ride comes to a end", Plese keep moving! don't stop to chat about how blinding fast the escalator was, or where the GAP is, WE are right behind you and need a place to land.

Holiday Sweaters. For some of you, enough said. For others I will explain. All the stores I have shopped in have the lights so you can see what you are buying, where were you when you bought THAT sweater? Gag gifts, I'm fine with and we all know somebody in marketing who is ........ " outgoing" because they told us. But can we limit the big rudolph/ frosty/ santa ones? Big snow flakes? If you can pull off the Nordic look fantastic! Carry on! but for the rest of us. Go solid or Go home.

I Hope everyone has a great holiday season, just please remember the other people out there.
